Synopsis

The film is about 50-year-old Victor Ganz, who owns a thriving construction company that operates worldwide. However, financial difficulties arise at one of his projects, forcing him to travel to Morocco. There, he is confronted with memories from his youth that he has managed to suppress until now. Between meetings in ministries, a reunion with a lost love who mysteriously disappeared, and an investigation into the local subway, Victor Ganz is thrown into a labyrinthine world where the present and past intertwine.

The Hungarian director Bálint Kenyeres' film "Yesterday" participates in the Concorso Cineasti del presente section at Locarno and is a co-production between Hungary, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Morocco, and Sweden.
