Synopsis
In October 2017, the police are called to the small village of Villereau on the French countryside after a woman hears repeated gunshots. We meet the villagers as they recount the day when Villereau was paralyzed by fear, becoming an example of how the terror threat is ever-present, even for the inhabitants of a small French village of 5 square kilometers.

"Excess will save us" won the Tempo Short Award at the Tempo Documentary Festival 2019.
Jury's reasoning: "A drastic, funny, dramatic, and at the same time very timely documentary/film. It describes how xenophobia and rumor-spreading lead to a grandiose misinterpretation of reality and frightening conclusions. Very good dramaturgy and photography, and a beautifully captured reality with a touch of artistic construction that forces itself upon the viewer."
