Synopsis
"Living" follows a government official and bureaucrat who spends his days shuffling documents but is struck by a serious illness.
Production Facts
The South African director Oliver Hermanus has adapted the Japanese Nobel laureate Kazuo Ishiguro's play, which is based on director Akira Kurosawa's 1952 film "Ikiru" ("To Live").
Oliver Hermanus's previous films include "Shirley Adams," "Beauty," "The Endless River," and "Moffie." His film "Beauty" won the Queer Palm Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
In the lead role, we see Bill Nighy.
The Göteborg-based company Filmgate handles parts of the post-production and is a co-producer.
