Synopsis
In a twisted take on the classic Cinderella story, we follow "the ugly stepsister" Elvira and her struggle to compete with her beautiful stepsister. To catch the prince’s attention in a fairy-tale kingdom where beauty is ruthless and everything, Elvira is willing to go to any lengths to achieve her goals. "The Ugly Stepsister" is a brutal tale where strength, courage, sweat, and blood are needed to transform herself into the belle of the ball.

Horror meets comedy in "The Ugly Stepsister", the feature film debut of Norwegian director and screenwriter Emilie Blichfeldt. The lead roles are played by Thea Sofie Loch Næss ("Ondskan", "The Last Kingdom"), Ane Dahl Torp ("Charter", "I dina händer"), and Lea Myren ("Kids in Crime"). Other roles are portrayed by Ralph Carlsson, Adam Lundgren, Cecilia Forss, Malte Gårdinger, and Isac Calmroth.
