Synopsis
"Push the Button" is a dark comedy about journalist Johanna, who is sent on a journey into an underground, tech-hostile movement led by a renegade tech guru who has declared war on today’s algorithm-driven digital society. At the heart of the story is the button that makes it possible to “turn off the internet.”
The cast includes Ylva Olaison, Noah Taylor (Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders), Jonathan Silén, Emil Brulin, Eero Milonoff (Border), Kati Outinen (The Man Without a Past), Rebecca Plymholt, Helmon Solomon, Jan Mybrand, Sven Ahlström, Elis Monteverde Burrau. "Push the Button" is filmed in Västra Götaland County, Sweden.

"Push the Button" is an original story developed by ÖGAT, written and directed by Anton Källrot, and produced by Ylva Olaison and Madeleine Ekman. The film is produced by ÖGAT Film in co-production with Film i Väst and SVT, with support from the Swedish Film Institute, Göteborgs Stad, the Swedish Art Council, and Nordisk Film & TV Fond , in collaboration with Good Partners Media Group.
ÖGAT Film is a cross-disciplinary, Gothenburg-based production company with roots in film and performing arts, creating high-quality productions aimed at both the Swedish and international markets. ÖGAT is run by Anton Källrot, Ylva Olaison, Jonathan Silén, and Lovisa Lilienberg Tosti.
The Swedish distributor is TriArt Film, and the film is expected to premiere in Swedish cinemas in 2026.
