La det swinge

Norway

Synopsis

In 1985, Norway is Eurovision’s perennial underdog. When former child star Hanne Krogh finds herself stuck in a stagnant career, a bold idea takes shape: to create something playful, colourful and completely at odds with everything that is considered “right” in Norway at the time.

Together with the self-assured singer Elisabeth Andreasson and songwriter Rolf Løvland, she defies the music industry’s disdain and Norway’s deep-seated inferiority complex. The result is Bobbysocks – and an unexpected victory that changes the way an entire nation sees itself.

"La det swinge" is a feel-good film about courage, friendship, and how pop music can change a nation.
