Collaboration and change in focus during Film i Väst’s industry day for producers

On 26 November, around one hundred producers gathered in Gothenburg for the twenty-fifth edition of Film i Väst’s industry day for producers, which this year focused on change and collaboration. Ruben Östlund & Erik Hemmendorff spoke about their more than 20-year partnership, organisational psychologist Alexander Graff offered new perspectives on change, producer Edwin Goldman of Goldman Films discussed ways of collaborating within the industry, and Tomas Eskilsson presented glimpses from the new report “The Epilogue – But How?”

The day’s keynotes and discussions were interspersed with the recurring segment “Speaker’s Corner,” where five speakers took to the stage to inspire industry colleagues with their visions for the future in five-minute talks.

Last but not least, Film i Väst’s newly established award, The Golden Shrimp, was presented for the very first time. The award will be given annually to recognise and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to film in Västra Götaland.
