The Norwegian film "Sentimental Value", co-produced by Film i Väst, has won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film at this year’s Oscars ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The film received a total of nine Academy Award nominations.
Sentimental Value is directed by Joachim Trier, who also wrote the screenplay together with Eskil Vogt. It is fantastic to see Sentimental Value win an Oscar. We congratulate everyone involved in the film. For us at Film i Väst, it is a great source of pride to be co-producers and to be part of the film’s journey together with such strong creative forces in the Nordic region.
Kristina Börjeson, Head of Production at Film i Väst.
