For the ninth consecutive year, Film i Väst’s co-productions have been selected for the main competition, the Official Competition, at the Cannes Film Festival. Being nominated for the main competition in Cannes, and thus competing for the prestigious Palme d’Or, is highly esteemed in the international film world. It is also an explicit goal of Film i Väst to have a co-production in the Official Selection. Leading the way is Ruben Östlund, who has won two Palme d’Ors for Triangle of Sadness and The Square.
