The 51st Toronto International Film Festival takes place from 10 to 20 September, and six of the films screening at the festival are co-productions with Film i Väst. Among them are Cristian Mungiu’s Palme d’Or-winning "Fjord" and Marie Kreutzer’s Palme d’Or-nominated "Gentle Monster".
Amalie Næsby Fick’s feature debut "What Lies Between Us" will have its world premiere in the Discovery programme, where the festival showcases emerging international filmmaking talent. Amanda Kernell’s "Brace Your Heart" will have its world premiere in the festival’s competitive Platform section. In addition, Niki Lindroth von Bahr’s "The End" and Anna Mantzaris’ "Please" have been selected for the Short Cuts programme, where they will compete for the award for Best Short Film.
