About Nelly Rapp – Monster Agent
Nelly and her dog London is about to spend the fall vacation with her uncle Hannibal. What she thought to be an ordinary fall vacation turns out to be something extraordinary. It turns out that Hannibal does not live the quiet life she thought – he is a monster agent! – the kind who has responsibility for keeping monsters and ghosts where they should be. She discovers a new world full of monsters, vampires and ghosts and embarks on an adventure where everything she once believed to be true is challenged.

Nelly Rapp – Monster Agent is produced by SF Studios producers Jon Nohrstedt (Borg vs. McEnroe, Bamse trilogy), who won the Gullspira Children’s Film Award at the Swedish Guldbagge Awards in 2021 for his contributions to Swedish children’s film, and Niklas Larsson (Red Dot, Alex, Saga’s Stories). The film is directed by Amanda Adolfsson (Young Sophie Bell, Eagles).  Sofie Forsman (Bamse and the Witch’s Daughter) has written the script based on the popular novels by Martin Widmark with illustrations by Christina Alvner. The film has been a box office success since its Swedish theatrical release in October 2020 and received two Swedish Guldbagge awards for Best Make Up and Best Costume Design. The film was nominated for a total of 5 nominations.

”I am so happy and proud that the film will be shown at the Berlin Film Festival! I love this festival and appreciate that it also focuses on films for children and teenagers. It will be so exciting to see how the film will be received by young audiences!”, says Amanda Adolfsson, director.

”We are so happy that Nelly Rapp – Monster Agent has been nominated for the Berlinale Generation Kplus Crystal Bear. It is a film that should take its young audience into a world that feels completely new and exciting, a universe that no one has seen before. The success of this film is the result of strong teamwork, great performances of the cast and crew members and a brilliant director”, says Jon Nohrstedt and Niklas Larsson, producers at SF Studios.

The film stars young talent Matilda Gross, making her film debut in the leading role as Nelly Rapp. The cast also includes the renowned Swedish actors Johan Rheborg, Björn Gustafsson, Lily Wahlsteen and Marianne Mörck, who received a Guldbagge nomination for Best supporting actress in 2021.
