Nine out of 17 possible Swedish Guldbagge Awards was the result of the gala in Stockholm, Monday 23 January, for Film i Väst’s co-productions. Ruben Östlund was the great winner with a grand slam for his Triangle of Sadness: Best Film, Best Director and four other awards. Tarik Saleh brought home the prize for Best screenplay for his Boy from Heaven/Cairo Conspiracy, which also was Sweden’s Oscar submission and shortlisted for an Oscar in Best International Film. In total Film i Väst’s co-production received 42 nominations.
