Palme d’Or winner, director Ruben Östlund and Film i Väst have had a long term and prosperous partnership. Film i Väst has co-produced four feature films with Ruben Östlund, producer Erik Hemmendorff, and the Gothenburg based production company Plattform Produktion. All the films have done both elements of shooting and postproduction in West Sweden.

- 2014 Force Majeure won Un Certain Regard Jury Prize and TFCA Award at Toronto International Film Festival. Also nominated for a Golden Globe, a BAFTA Award, the Nordic Councils Film Prize, and three European Film Awards (European Film, European Director and Audience Award). Won six Guldbagge Awards (plus four more nominations) and was shortlisted for the Best Foreign Language Oscar.
- 2011 Play won Séance Coup de Coeur at Quinzaine des Réalisateurs/Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes. Also won Best Director in Tokyo, the Nordic Councils Film Prize and two Guldbagge Awards. Shooting and post production in West Sweden.
- 2008 Involuntary was an Official Selection in Cannes, Un Certain Regard section. Shooting and post production in West Sweden.
- 2009 Incident by a Bank won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at Berlin International Film Festival. It was also nominated best European Short Film, European Film Awards and nominated Short Filmmaking Award in Sundance.
