One win and three nominations was the result at the prestigious British film award Bafta for Thomas Vinterberg’s Another Round. The film is produced by Zentropa (Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Kasper Dissing) and co-produced by Film i Väst and Zentropa Sweden and partially shot in Västra Götaland.

Another Round won the coveted Bafta statuette for Best Film – Not In The English Language, only the second time ever for a Danish film.  Another Round was Vinterberg’s third Bafta nomination for Best Film – Not in the English-Language after The Hunt (2013) and his debut feature The Celebration (2000). The film was running in another three categories for Best Director, Best Actor (Mads Mikkelsen) and Best Original Screenplay (Tobias Lindholm, Thomas Vinterberg).

The Bafta awards ceremony is the last major stop before Oscars’ voting starts April 15. The Danish Oscar entry is vying both for Best International Feature and Best Director. The 93rd Academy Awards will be held April 26.

According to imdb.com Another Round has 38 wins and additional 55 nominations. Among the victoriers are four European Film Awards, French film prize César and Golden Shell at San Sebastian Film Festival and the film has also been nominated forn a Golden Globe.

Released in Denmark by Nordisk Film, Another Round was the 2020 biggest hit with more than 800,000 admissions. It is sold worldwide by TrustNordisk.
