– Film i Väst congratulates Another Round, Thomas Vinterberg and Zentropa for winning the Oscar for Best International Feature Film. Another Round tells a touching story by extraordinary talented actors. In 2021 Film i Väst has, for the first time, three Oscar nominations in the same year; two for Best International Feature Film – Thomas Vinterberg’s Another Round and Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Man Who Sold His Skin – and Thomas Vinterberg himself as Best Director

Another Round and The Man Who Sold His Skin are both co-produced with Film i Väst. Another Round is the fourth co-production with Thomas Vinterberg. The Hunt was also nominated Best Foreign Language Film in 2013. Kaouther Ben Hania’s previous feature film The Beauty and the Beasts was Tunisia’s Oscar entry in 2019 and it was also co-produced with Film i Väst.

Since 2000 Film i Väst co-productions have been nominated for 15 Oscars, with one win: Susanne Bier’s In a Better World 2011. Nine of the nominations have been in the international film category, among them Ruben Östlund’s The Square, Hannes Holm’s A Man Called Ove and Nikolaj Arcel’s A Royal Affair.
