During the festival, public Works in Progress sessions are also arranged, offering an exclusive insight into the filmmaking process. At the end of the summer 2025, filming began on "Bloody Men", the screen adaptation of Andrev Walden’s August Prize–winning novel "Bloody Awful in Different Ways" in Västra Götaland. Produced by B‑Reel Films in co‑production with, among others, Film i Väst, the film is a coming-of-age story filled with darkness and humour, about the love for an incapable mother and about a whole lot of damn men. Director Jens Sjögren and actor Aliette Opheim talk about the work and present scenes.

When: Thursday, 29 January, 2:30–4:00 PM
