Ruben Östlund is indisputably one of the greatest in Swedish film history with his three Oscar nominations for his film Triangle of Sadness, filmed in Västra Götaland, is outstanding. Triangle of Sadness is the seventh of Östlund’s films co-produced by Film i Väst.
– The cooperation with Ruben Östlund and his fellow producer Erik Hemmendorff at Göteborg based Plattform Produktion, extends back more than 20 years. It is definitely a formidable success story as well as one of the main factors behind Film i Väst’s positioning at the international festivals and galas. We are very proud of our long collaboration, already from his university period, and hope for a continued partnership for years to come. We wish him all the luck on Sunday at the Oscars, says Kristina Börjeson, Head of Production at Film i Väst.
